EA MS FANTASY GAGA DRAFT



The Sports Journalism elective recently held a mock draft for a EA MS GaGa team. The class was split into 4 groups and played the part of general manager for a GaGa team. they drafted students from the MS to fill out a 7 person roster. The results of the draft and a brief description of the player is below.

 Team #1:The Dream Squad 

Owners/Coaches: Eric Kim, Declan McCarthy and Tyler Manion 
  Quinn Dudek: athletic, fast, hops
  Andrew Schellenger: fun guy, all around star
  Brandon Sheppard: nimble on his feet, 7th grade latin stud, soccer star
  Jake Jorganson: crazy fast, pie race victor, knows how to win, pulls it out in the clutch
  Claire Beatty: agile, good coordination with body limbs
  Hannah Moriarty: powerful, friendly, a good sport
  Elodie Furey: long arms to hit ball, tall, A team in all sports

 Team #2:The Hard Hitting Machine 

Owners/Coaches:Bobby Frasier, AJ Marcucci, James Silvi 
 Dex Frederick: We choose Dex second overall because he is quick and he slaps the ball with force. He is also really competitive.
 Reilly Wright: We choose Reilly as our second pick because she dominates in the women’s division. She is also can crush the ball with her hard hands.
 Jeff Coote: We choose Jeffrey as our third pick because he is a southpaw. He dominates 2nd graders in Gaga. He’s a stud.
 Chris Rushton: We choose Chris because he is a funny guy and he can jump 1 inch in the air to get over the ball. He has great enthusiasm and he will bring it to the Hard-Hitting Machines.
 Lexi Fisher: We choose Lexi because she got a 8th grade letter in winter track (she is a boss). She brings her hand-eye coordination to our team.
 Julia Depillis; She got no time for losing. When she steps on the Gaga wood she brings the great and beautiful athleticism.
 Max Guo: He has several nicknames but the one that comes to mind first is Jeremy Lin. He leaves it all on the octagon.

 Team #3:Team Thug Life 

Owners/Coaches: Griffin Ernst, Jack Brown, Jake Martelucci 
 Ryan Foster- Is a very athletic, and talented athlete
 Ramon Gallegos- A very agile, and has very quick feet
 Corinne Zannoli- very agressive and fierce also is always wanting to win
 Maddie Oreilly- eager and wanting to win also a great leader
 Carson Fisher- fast, small and athletic and wanting to get to the top, also has young fresh legs
 Philip Tobar- very quick and a stellar tenis player
 Nina Stravropolulos- he is very agile and speedy she also power

 Team #4:GaGa Squad 

Owners/Coaches: Spencer Higgins, Connor Gunsalas, Franny Radano 
Matt Freese- His reflexes from being a goalie and his persistence for going at the ball
 Alex Mclaughlin- His height and strength gives him an advantage and his knowledge of the game Kelsey Slack- We picked Kelsey because of her speed and agility and we think it will create chemistry with our two big guys Alex and matt
 Harrison Malone- His quickness lets him move around the court extremely well and his height helps him stay low to the ground and get other people out
 Lily Zelov- Lily is a good pick because she is a good squash player andf her reflexes are fantastic Giovanni Materazza- Gio was our sleeper many people didn’t know about Gio’s dominance in gaga he moves around the court like a lion searching for prey.
 Sasha Tancemore- Sasha is an enthusiastic person who could bring a intimidation factor to our game she is also the best gaga player on the east coast

We compared him to our very own middle school starting QB, Nick Maras. We interviewed Nick on the coming football season and what he thought of RG3. Then, we re-created a Redskins play with Nick. A very respected college coach, Chris Rushton, has been keeping a close eye on Episcopal Academy upcoming water polo star, eighth grade varsity starter, Maddie O’Reilly. He wants to be the first to add this water polo legend to his squad. Enjoy.

March Madness is the most exciting sports event of the year and everybody anticipates it. Between the cinderella stories, the great coaching, and the huge upsets there is always excitement. This is where history is made, great players are formed, and coaching legacies begin. This is the time to watch your brackets, and to root for your team. This is "Where amazing happens".

Boys A Team Hoops: Where Amazing Happens

Where Amazing Happens at EA features a number of the basketball players portraying their quest to excellence. We give great thanks to Mr. John Spofford for the photos that we wouldn’t have done without. This video was an opportunity to shine some light on the hard work of the Episcopal Academy’s Basketball program.

The Conlins and the Fosters are two pairs of boy girl twins at EA. The girls play basketball for the B team and so do the boys. While sitting in class, we were wondering who would win in a two on two game. So we interviewed the Fosters and the Conlins, and we asked the fans who would win, and we are about to answer all of your questions.
